Star Ratings for Accommodation Providers

Star ratings help travellers understand the suitability of your accommodation at a glance.

Updated this week

Star ratings help travellers understand the suitability of your accommodation at a glance. If you have a star rating, it will be displayed on your ATDW profile and shared across distribution channels.

What is Star Ratings Australia?

Star Ratings Australia is the official system for independently assessing accommodation providers in Australia. Ratings range from 1 to 5 stars and are based on criteria such as:

  • Cleanliness and condition

  • Facilities and amenities

  • Services offered

  • Overall guest experience

Only accredited properties can display star ratings, ensuring consistency and trust for travellers.

How Star Ratings Work in ATDW

If your business has a current star rating through the Accredited Star Rating program, it will be automatically linked to your ATDW profile.

This means your rating can appear anywhere your ATDW listing is published, helping travellers make informed decisions.

How to Get or Update a Star Rating

Star ratings are managed by the Australian Tourism Industry Council through the Accredited Star Rating program.

If you already have a rating and it’s not showing on your profile, contact our team for assistance.
